Celebrating 5 years of outdoor fun by flipping the adventure!

The fisHER Adventure Classic is the annual fundraising event for Women of Fisheries, Inc.  For the last four years, registrants participated in an outdoor adventure of their choosing and shared their stories to compete for bragging rights for the Most Interesting Location, Best Adventure Story, and Most Impressive Adventure.

This year, for the 5th Anniversary of the event, we are flipping the adventure. To reach our goal of $1,200, each Women of Fisheries Board member has committed to completing an adventure challenge and filming it for posterity. For every $200 raised, a Board Member will complete their chosen challenge, ranging from dancing in the rain in Massachusetts to taking a polar plunge in Oregon. 

Proceeds for this event to fund initiatives including two Women of Fisheries Gives Back! Early Career Awards and help cover our annual operating expenses. The Early Career Awards provide financial assistance to women during the often difficult transition from student to fisheries professional. So far, Women of Fisheries has supported 5 deserving women in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Donations are being accepted NOW through the end of October 2024.
