Women of Fisheries is a community of women in fisheries science who not only do amazing work but also support each other.
We recently asked our members to give “fish bumps” to recognize their recent achievements and accomplishments and those of their women colleagues. We learned about a colleague’s first presentation, graduation, professional award, start of a new job, and new publications. Each of these is worthy of celebration, and we at Women of Fisheries proudly present this round of “fish bumps” to celebrate these and all of our members who are making a difference in this field.

If you’re interested in learning more about the work being done, we assembled this list of recently published works involving Women of Fisheries members that were shared in this round of “fish bumps.”
- Cold-water thermal refuge enhancement and creation for salmonids: Successes, failures, and lessons learned
- Efficacy of gastric lavage for stomach content analysis in Florida Cobra Snakehead (Channa aurolineata) and Butterfly Peacock Bass (Cichla ocellaris)

Until the next round of “fish bumps,” keep being amazing!
