Thank You for Making This Year’s Fundraiser a Success! 

Thanks to the support of our amazing community, we raised over $600 during the 2026 fisHER Adventure Classic. These funds will support two Early Career Awards and help cover our annual operating expenses. The Early Career Awards help women navigate the challenging transition from student to fisheries professional, providing crucial support as they start their careers. So far, Women of Fisheries has supported 10 deserving women in 2022, 2023, and 2024, 2025, and 2026. Stay tuned for a call for applications coming in November.

Throughout the campaign, we showcased the Women of Fisheries mission and people working behind the scenes to make our organization work, shared how previous Early Career Award winners used their funds, discussed continuing challenges that women face, celebrated some “fish bumps” for recent achievements, and most of all enjoyed interacting with our community and allies. We also loved seeing our members get outdoors, enjoy nature, and connect with each other throughout the month. See below for some of the adventures that were shared.
